6: Yes. Worked as a Moderator and later Admin on a MC vanilla server back in 2014-16. Duties included monitoring the chat for offensive language, patrolling the server for signs of cheating including flying, X-ray, spawning/duplicating, and reporting and rolling back griefed builds.

9: Admin or Builder.

10: I can monitor the discord at all hours whether at work or at home and respond to any problems that arise as soon as I've been notified. While home I can constantly have the server running on a side setup to keep an eye on the world.

11a: Start with muting them in chat for 1 hour. If muting is not an option on this server then a kick with a warning that if they do not stop they will face jailtime and harsher consequences if they do not correct their behavior.

11b: Assist them to the best of my abilities. Inform them of the help commands that are on the server that allow them to look at the command list, and if needed I would pull up the pixelmon mod wiki to find the answer.

11c: Investigate the accusation and if it appears credible confront the player and issue them a warning depending on the cheat/hack. If the cheat/hack is serious, jailtime until it can be discussed with other staff/owner.

12: Only familiar with the Pixelmon mod. Haven't played on many servers in the last few years.

13: The current random events with crate key giveaways and chest hunts are a good way to keep the community active. Maybe level limit tornaments that require pixelmon battling in the event to be at or below a certain level when the tournament begins. World scavenger hunts for hidden chests, maybe with crate keys and hints could be hidden around the map to encourage exploration.

14: Yes, provided notice is given so as not to conflict with work hours.

I have fulfilled staff roles on smaller minecraft servers, my responsibilities included ensuring players had as smooth an experience as possible by rendering administrative aid when things didn't work the way they were supposed to, and acting as a middle ground between people on occasion to dissuade negative relationships between players and avoid negative feedback loops. 

7. How long have you been a part of the Pixelmon Legends community?
I joined on October 27th, and while I may be a little new to the scene, i've made myself acquainted somewhat swiftly and hope to further it more.

8. Why do you want to become a staff member on Pixelmon Legends?
I would like to be able to help other players in more ways than i already have at my disposal.

9. Which staff position are you applying for? (e.g., Helper, Moderator, Developer, Admin, or Builder)
I was unaware of the multiple positions being presented, and thus i am available for any position seen fit.

10. What strengths do you bring to the staff team?
I bring well timed reasonable thinking and well thought out ideas to the table, delivered with empathy unmatched, I am typically able to resolve conflicts of any sort within an acceptable timeframe, and pride myself in being on good standing with others.

11. How would you handle the following scenarios:

• A player is repeatedly spamming chat despite warnings.
  I would personally see if there was something else that may be able to take their attention away from chat without trying to add any negativity, if there is no policiy for me to follow originally.

• A new player asks for help but is not familiar with the commands or Pixelmon mechanics.
  Provided my attention isnt needed elsewhere, i would provide the player with resources to learn more about the game they want to enjoy, or potentially simply reference whatever knowledge they need myself and convey it however needed.

• A player accuses another of cheating or using unfair mods.
  I would calmy address the accuser and let them know that that would be taken seriously, and that it would be looked into, and that any discrepancies will be discovered.

12. Are you familiar with any of the following plugins or mods (e.g., LuckPerms, WorldGuard, EssentialsX, or the Pixelmon mod)?
I am rather familiar to Pixelmon, and while i am relatively fresh on the plugin scene, i can quickly acquire a basic understanding to accommodate any roles i would be facilitating.

I'm sure some will come up, but none currently.

No, I have always wanted to become a member, but this was a nerve racking process as this would be my first time doing something like this. I have been just generally helpful to staff on previous servers though.

 I just started on Halloween! Thought that this would be a cool server, and I was correct!

8. Why do you want to become a staff member on Pixelmon Legends?

 I just want to help out. I can't financially help, so this maybe the next best thing.

 I haven't thought about it, but Helper I guess, but if needed anywhere else, I can do that as well.

10. What strengths do you bring to the staff team?

 That isn't an easy question to answer because I am still figuring it out myself. I can say that I am friendly, I work hard, and I get stuff done.

11. How would you handle the following scenarios:

11.a. A player is repeatedly spamming chat despite warnings. 

Timeout/kick/ban them for a set time (a day?), then keep tabs on them to see if they do it again. If they are a repeat offender, add more time to the ban. I would say after 5 times, I would talk to other staff and talk about perm banning said player.

11.b. A new player asks for help but is not familiar with the commands or Pixelmon mechanics.

Well, this seems like a simple question. I would be like a tutorial npc. I would help them until they no longer need help.

11.c. A player accuses another of cheating or using unfair mods.

First, thank the player for bringing it to my attention. Then I would check out said player for myself for a while, then ask the player about it. If it seems like they are cheating, then I would warn them if they continue they could get banned. Keep checking on them, and if they haven't stopped, then I would talk to higher ups about how many warnings they get before action is required.

I wasn't before writing this, but now that I looked them up (Minus the Pixelmon Mod) I have a basic understanding of what they do. I still don't know how to use them, but I learn fast.

At the moment, no. But I definitely will later on as I am making my own pixelmon data pack, world, and texture pack. If you want, you can use them (Although I don't think you would want to.)

I don't see why not. It would just depend on when it would be as I have a spontaneous schedule and get random bursts of free time, usually during the afternoon to night hours.

Even if I don't get to help staff wise, I will still be helping how I do now. Giving out starter boxes for new players (I do it out of my own stuff). Thank you for look at this and I hope I can help in a bigger sense!

5. How many hours can you commit per week?

Really depends on what my schedule looks like, most likely 15-20 hrs. I work as a teacher, so I have a lot of days off when school is out + weekends off, so I can be on during those days.

6. Do you have any experience as a staff member on other servers? If so, describe your role and responsibilities.

Yes, I used to be very active in certain parts of the Splatoon community. I modded for a server called Sakura Squids and basically ran it when owner was gone; it peaked at ~300 members. I opened and ran another server where at its peak was ~600 members, then abandoned that project in favor of a tournament for the game. The tourney server peaked at just under 800 members, and at the peak, tourney had ~120 players signed up for one run, and averaged ~64 players per run. I shut it down recently since the community slowed down drastically, and am currently handing off ownership to a friend. DM me on discord for proof if needed

7. How long have you been a part of the Pixelmon Legends community?

Not too long, but I already enjoy the server and feel like I could be part of the community.

8. Why do you want to become a staff member on Pixelmon Legends?

I really enjoy smaller communities, and I want to see this server gain some traction even if I'm much newer compared to others.

9. Which staff position are you applying for? (e.g., Helper, Moderator, Developer, Admin, or Builder)

I'm not SUPER decided, but if I had to decide right now, it'd be moderator; I am not good/experienced with coding or building but I am good with graphics (2D is my specialty but I could probably pick up 3D relatively fast), concept creation, and I've got tons of experience with moderation.

10. What strengths do you bring to the staff team?

Previous experience with creating/enforcing rules, running events, a background in art/graphic design, and I like to think I am a quick learner, so I'll pick up anything new fast.

11. How would you handle the following scenarios:

A player is repeatedly spamming chat despite warnings.

I'd mute them for 5-15 minutes, depending on what is being spammed in chat. Repeated offenses will result in longer mute times.

A new player asks for help but is not familiar with the commands or Pixelmon mechanics.

I can sit down and help anyone! I am a preschool teacher, trust me I can explain anything. I don't mind hopping in a vc, finding a video, or going step by step to get a new player to learn the mechanics.

A player accuses another of cheating or using unfair mods.

Depending on the unfair mod or cheat, I'll watch the accused periodically, notify the rest of staff/gather other opinions, and make a decision from there on what to do. Since it can be difficult to detect certain cheats, it wouldn't be fair to rush to make a decision on how to handle this.

Nope but I have set up Minecraft servers between friends; if need be, I have no issues learning a different program.

13. Do you have any ideas for future events or features to enhance the server?

I suggested this in the server, but I feel like creating a custom pokedex for each new region that comes up could be super cool. This would probably be super hard to program, but creating a custom pokemon type for this server could also be super fun!

Yes I am comfortable. I should be able to go to the majority, but I may not be able to make every week, since I have my own responsibilities and plans.

Can't really give a good estimate, but I will be around quite often.

First staff position I had was way back in 2014 during the alpha days of Pixelmon (2014). I started out as a helper and got promoted all the way to head admin within 1 year. Most recent one I started as a helper and got promoted up to admin (2020-2023). Had to resign cause the rest of the admin team and I had a falling out with the server owner.

7. How long have you been a part of the Pixelmon Legends community?
Almost 2 weeks.

8. Why do you want to become a staff member on Pixelmon Legends?
I want to see the growth of this community and be able to help in any way I can.

Helper or Moderator.

10. What strengths do you bring to the staff team?
Reasonability and Professionalism. 

11. How would you handle the following scenarios:

• A player is repeatedly spamming chat despite warnings.
  I would warn them to stop at least 2 times before giving them a warning. If they do not abide by the warning, they will receive a 1 day mute.

• A new player asks for help but is not familiar with the commands or Pixelmon mechanics.
  With the commands, I would refer them to the Rotom Dex as it provides a substantial amount of info relating to the commands available on the server.
  For Pixelmon, I would walk them through on how to do certain things. (Catching a pokemon, which items to use to evolve certain pokemon, etc.)

• A player accuses another of cheating or using unfair mods.
  I would ask for video proof or watch the accused player for a few minutes in vanish/spectator mode.

12. Are you familiar with any of the following plugins or mods (e.g., LuckPerms, WorldGuard, EssentialsX, or the Pixelmon mod)?
Pixelmon mostly, but I am willing to learn the other plugins.

13. Do you have any ideas for future events or features to enhance the server?
Community events such as PokeSeek (like prop hunt, but with pokemon instead), The in-game Voice chat mod, and a Pixelmon Legends modpack specifically for the server.

14. Are you comfortable attending a weekly meeting with Owner / Staff?
It really depends. I work night shifts, so at times it may be a bit difficult for me to join some of the meetings.

As stated above, I do work night shifts, so my playtime will be kind of wacky. I work 10pm - 6:30am PST. My off days are usually Tuesday - Wednesday.

I'm not extremely busy and im on the server a lot mostly from 3pm-2am

i have never been a staff

ive been in the server for almost 2 weeks 

im in the server a lot and im really familiar to the Odessey server and the people in it so i can be like a very big help for the new incoming people for Odessey

im applying for Helper

im a big talker very transparent im on the server for a long time so i can always help

depending on how many times the person has been warned id send you a quick note referring that im about to give that person repercussions or allow you to do what you see fit

id prob ask for their name on discord so i can further give instructions without interfering with everyone else

id look into the issue to understand why they are being accused and bring the attention to you to settle it

i think im kind of good with the main mod but i don't really know

i feel like if i had time i could come up with new events its just hard to think on the spot
